How Low Can Gas Go?

I was talking with a good friend of mine this evening and told him that I could get gas here in Roanoke, VA, for $1.29 a gallon. He couldn't believe it and asked me to send a photo. I WAS WRONG!!! It was $1.25/gallon?

So, how low can it go? What are the prices in your area?

Now, you can watch the SUV sales go back up again!! So, what is the price that had you changing your driving behaviors???

I don't know why it is this low, but I will enjoy it while it lasts.

  1. Wow! I missed that. I filled up just past Roanoke today at $1.41. It's a $1.55 down the street. I believe that gas will probably hit near .99cents a gallon by Christmas. I also believe that it will be going back up. They say within 6 months it should average $2.50 a gallon. Big Oil already said they are going to stop production at least half their facilities to make gas prices rise. They say the price is way too low. Tell me that isn't crooked!! Well I am with you, enjoy it while it last.

  2. Walmart is usually the cheapest around here in Fort Smith, Arkansas. They're at $1.46/gal. With prices low again, I've been needing to put all the spark plugs back in the Yukon!

  3. Hi John - I've been reading your blog for awhile - by way of Sherry Carlstrom's blog. I knew that you and your family had left Sonrise, but never knew until just recently that you had moved away. Good to find you again, and catch up on you and Chris and the kids.

Anyway, last night I paid $1.24 at Walmart on the north side of Fort Wayne. Sorry, no photo, you'll have to trust me on this one.
